What is LifeonHigh?

What is the LifeonHigh Philosophy and what is the need for the LifeonHigh Society?

The LifeonHigh Philosophy is a set of Core Principles with which to live your life by. There are 3 Core Principles, 1) Respect All Life, 2) Celebrate Differences, 3) Be True to the Self. It is a philosophy based on the moment of time you are currently in and the current situation that is presented to you, ie, how you react to each situation, in each moment of your life.

When adopted by the subconscious of society, the principles provide a moral ground to stand on and also create a framework that can be used to develop both personal and professional relationships. When presented with a situation, be it a discussion with a friend, a disagreement with a coworker, the search for a new cure, or the development of a business plan, ask yourself if you are meeting the 3 core principles. Are you being respectful to those involved, to the environment, to life as a whole? Are you approaching differing opinions with an open mind and the knowledge that there are many ways to accomplish a task? Are you doing something, or reacting in a manner that is consistent with your true thoughts and emotions? If you can’t say “Yes” to all 3 questions, then you should rethink your approach and try a difference solution.

Most “advanced” societies today are based on a sense of competition, materialism, and ego. Because of this, many go hungry, many suffer from poverty, and corruption runs freely. Many avenues are not explored due to lack of profitability, many ideas are overlooked because they don’t fit with the norms, and policies are created that do more harm than good. We don’t have to suffer through these societal issues. With the current mindset of society, there is little hope of change. That is what the LifeonHigh Philosophy brings to the table, a fundamental shift in our life philosophy, a change in our reaction to the situations around us. Living your LifeonHigh is about living the change, being the change.

The LifeonHigh Society is the organized movement to bring this change. We strive to bring a greater sense of cooperation to the personal, business, and political worlds, a sense of purpose to individual lives, and to truly create the world in our image. We have the ability and the resources to bring a positive change to the world. It is the goal of the LifeonHigh Society to bring the LifeonHigh Philosophy to the people and to show that all life can be successful and all life can grow and flourish together, and all it takes is a simple, yet fundamental shift in mentality.

Realist

I recently had the privilege of having a great conversation related to the LifeonHigh Philosophy and the idea of realism, or more importantly, those who believe they are “realists” when it comes to dealing with life.

Living your LifeonHigh is a philosophy based on the moment of time you are currently living, as well as providing assistance to help get you were you want to be. Respecting all life and the celebration of differences are the Core Principles that relate to the world around us. From a “real” perspective, there is always the opportunity for chance, but relatively speaking, you always have a choice. Regardless of history, regardless of what you plan for the future, this moment, right here, right now, you truly hold the power to create your own “reality.” With that in mind, the LifeonHigh Philosophy is firmly grounded in the reality of life. You are actively making decisions in your life, you are actively thinking, you are actively creating this reality around you.

I am saddened when people say, “well, that’s just the way things are.” If you disagree with the way life is, or the way a situation turns out, change it. You do have a say in the reality around you. For most, this is very difficult to realize, and even harder to accomplish. When we are not directly presented with resources, support, and a clear goal we want to reach, the tendency is to not push forward, to just accept the current result. Many people try to push forward, only to become frustrated and eventually lose sight of the end goal. If you know exactly what you want the end result to be, the resources and support will be there for you. This is not metaphysical, spiritual, or otherworldly talk, this is reality. Your actions attract similar responses from life around you. Base your decisions from a mindset of respect and an openness to other ideas, and you will find the same qualities presented back to you throughout your life.

If you classify yourself as a “realist”, you need to realize that the reality you are experiencing is directly related to the choices you make every moment of your life. In life, you will always see in others exactly what you are looking to see. Look for respect, look for ways to celebrate differences, create your own true path.

Open Discussions

Thank you so much for the questions that were submitted. We are very sorry we can not get to them all, or answer all parts of them all. Please use that as an opportunity to discuss and gain insight from those around you. As we have said before, LifeonHigh is a living and breathing philosophy and so is always open for different discussions and interpretations.

Here are responses to a few of the submitted questions. Please keep them coming. You are all amazing.

How do you deal with anger? – Meghan P.

Anger is a human emotion. Acknowledge it and accept it, do not try to run from it. Knowing your true self will help you stand up to, and resolve your anger. Take the time to look within yourself and try to discover the source of your anger. From there, use the Core Principles for Respect and Celebration, along with the simple act of Forgiveness to move past the anger you are experiencing. Always remember, pointing fingers and placing blame only work to enhance the anger within yourself. Resolutions come from forgiveness and acceptance.

Why don’t we all just hold hands and sing kumbaya? – Brad L.

Why don’t we? The only thing holding us back is the current state of human consciousness. Living your LifeonHigh is not about always being happy and accepting everything that is thrown at you. Living your LifeonHigh is about taking control of your actions and dealing with situations in a way that will increase the chance of a positive benefit for all life. Questions and disagreements should be seen as an opportunity to cooperate and advance the current mindset of all parties involved.

I have horrible road-rage and usually end my trips very stressed out. – Alex L.

Try to remember that there is only one true destination in this life. Everything else is part of the journey. Use the time you spend on the road to explore your own mind. Ask yourself questions, explore issues you are faced with in your daily life, or simply turn up the music and sing until your voice is gone. The journey should be enjoyed, not rushed. You are already where you need to be, sit back and enjoy the life that is happening around you.

Thank you again to everybody for all the questions, comments, and insights. We greatly appreciate everyone. Please feel free to leave comments, ask further questions, and add your own thoughts to the conversations of life.

Celebrate Differences

For a deeper understanding, we will be revisiting the Core Principles of LifeonHigh throughout a series of posts. This post will cover Core Principle number 2, Celebrate Differences.

2) Celebrate Differences – Differing thoughts and opinions make each of us unique. Focus should be placed on the celebration of our differences for our differences are what truly make us alive.

This principle relates to dealing with conflict resolution. In the current state of society, we tend to associate and section ourselves off with those that are like minded. This can be seen in the myriad of religious and spiritual beliefs. The negative affects of a division created by this type of categorization can also be seen throughout history by taking a quick look at the history of war. Major and minor conflicts alike can be traced back to the involved parties having a difference in opinion. Whether countries are battling over resources such as oil, or a group rises up to overthrow a ruler they do not agree with, the basic guiding principle behind the conflict is a difference in opinion.

Celebrating differences, in the scope of LifeonHigh, is listed second behind respect due to the fact that the celebration will break down when mutual respect is not given. This is why it is important to work with the whole of society to internalize these principles. Once respect is established, as a society, we can use differing opinions and view points as a catalyst to cooperate and formulate new solutions that benefit the whole of society. By internalizing a celebratory reaction when confronted with differences, our initial reaction is that of cooperation and resolution, instead of taking an offensive or defensive stance toward the other party.

Respect All Life

For a deeper understanding, we will be revisiting the Core Principles of LifeonHigh throughout a series of posts. This post will cover Core Principle number 1, Respect All Life.

1) Respect All Life – Every living object plays a role in the universe. These roles connect each of us to all other life. Through these connections we all become one. Respect all life to be respected as life.

This principle relates to maintaining balance and harmony in nature. Without human intervention, the life around us operates in a harmonious state. When this harmony is disrupted naturally, nature finds a way of rebalancing. One of the main aspects that sets human life apart from others is our ability to knowingly affect the balance of nature. Human life runs into issues when we don’t practice moderation. Throughout history, we have been known to over hunt and fish, which has brought species to extinction. We have over forested by clear cutting large areas of land and leaving them barren which can affect weather patterns and oxygen levels as well as destroying the home land of many animals. On the flip side, we have also created new reef structures in the oceans to help re-grow different sea life. We have developed animal breeding programs to help bring endangered species back up to safer levels.

Respecting life, in the scope of LifeonHigh, is not about becoming vegan, or fighting for the rights of those in danger. Respecting all life is about practicing moderation in your own life and your own needs to allow nature to maintain a state of harmony. When in a harmonious state, the needs of all life are met and we are able to operate in a more cooperative capacity throughout society

Core Principles Revisited

Internalizing the Core Principles of LifeonHigh is a daily process. As both a life philosophy and eventually as a state of mind, or state of being, the Core Principles need to be practiced in your daily life until following the principles becomes your initial reaction to all situations. However, unlike many philosophies, this process does not require a significant investment of time, reading, or outside teachings. Instead, the situations you run into can be navigated by asking yourself three basic questions, 1) Are my actions and words being respectful to the life I am dealing with? 2) Am I understanding and celebrating the differences in opinion being presented to me? 3) Are my actions and words expressing how I truly feel regarding the situation?

Please revisit the LifeonHigh Core Principles at http://lifeonhigh.com/home/core/.

The next few posts will be delving deeper into the meanings and purpose of the Core Principles. Please check back often to catch these posts and also think about the current situations you are presented with. Put the control of every situation into your own hands and ask yourself the above questions. Try to find a solution where you can answer “yes” to the three questions. Feel free to share your issues and solutions.

Further explanations of the Core Principles will be coming shortly.

Catalyst

Help make LifeonHigh the catalyst for a fundamental shift in philosophy and a fundamental shift in the consciousness of society. Help shift consciousness towards a more respectful and a more open society. A society that knows who they are and why they are here. A society that celebrates life, that celebrates differences, that celebrates each other for the uniqueness every individual and every life can bring to this journey. This is what living your LifeonHigh is all about. This moment right now, as you read this, is where the shift begins.
